Our JCHS English 12 Dual Credit class and librarian Rhea Shelton traveled to Tompkins Cortland Community College this week. They started their visit in the college library, where TC3 librarian Eric Jones demonstrated how to navigate the expansive college library databases to jumpstart their research projects. Student ambassadors then provided a campus tour that ended with a free lunch in the dining hall. The group also met with JC alumnus Emmanuel Taly, who is thriving in his first year at TC3.
Students in this spring semester of English 12 Dual Credit will earn three college credits through TC3’s CollegeNow program and, in collaboration with our school and college librarians, gain invaluable skills in research, composition, and critical thinking.
