Before the holiday break, our middle school's Binghamton University Liberty Partnerships Program advisor Quentin Pappadakis presented a check for $1,400 to the 8th-grade staff advisors to be applied toward the 8th-grade field trip later this school year.
Mr. Pappadakis, a recent contestant on Wheel of Fortune, had a goal of donating a portion of his gameshow earnings back to the school.
Of special note: Fellow contestants KC Wright and his mother, Liz Wright, of Texas met Pappadakis during the tapings in California and, after learning about his goal, wanted to match his donation amount.
We thank Mr. Pappadakis, Mr. Wright, and his mother, Liz, for their generous contribution and for helping to ensure our 8th-graders have a great trip!
