Our district was recently informed of a national shortage of cardboard that is used to make half-pint milk containers.
As a result, we are anticipating the unavailability of milk in these cardboard containers in our district in the next few weeks. Current estimates indicate stock will return in early 2024.
The district will continue to serve milk to all students. In the elementary school, students will receive a hot breakfast in the classroom with a juice option. During lunch, milk will be available in cups poured by staff. In the middle school and high school, milk will be self-served from an insulated container.
