Middle school students in the Liberty Partnership program had the unique opportunity to meet an aircraft pilot today. Captain Roland Vegiard of Aircraft Services Group visited the students and spoke about being an airline and private jet pilot. In addition to talking about the physics of making an aircraft fly, he shared a motivational message about creating a positive vision of what you want to be, having discipline, seizing opportunity and getting the most out of every day.
Captain Vegiard has traveled the world, from Hawaii and Peru to Greenland and Iceland. His famous passengers include President George W. Bush, Whoopi Goldberg, Trevor Noah, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and entrepreneur Adam Weitsman.
