Our elementary school students and staff had fun today participating in the PTO's first-ever Fun Run under perfect skies!
While our Pre-K and kindergarten classes looped around the turf field outside the elementary school, our grades 1-5 students visited the track at Wildcat Stadium and received encouragement from Rowdy the Rumble Pony and our own elementary school mascot, Rory.
The fundraiser proved to be a tremendous success and raised more than $7,000! The proceeds will go toward inviting more guest speakers and authors to the elementary school.
Students who participated in today's event can look forward to receiving a ribbon next week. In addition, students who brought in $10 or more will get to visit Mrs. Riley's prize box. Students who brought in the most money per grade level will receive a special prize from the PTO by the end of next week.
Event organizers would like to thank our parents for their amazing support and look forward to hopefully making this a yearly event!
