On January 28, the JC Board of Education and Superintendent Race recognized Johnson City High School-Tioga State Bank student branch workers Malaz Farag, Ruby Goodnough, and Juan Velez for demonstrating responsibility, professionalism and a willingness to going above and beyond for their initiative in work-based learning.
TSB Supervisor Kim Weeks was also acknowledged for her efforts in launching the TSB school branch. She has provided additional training for our student workers and truly is appreciated for all her efforts in getting the JCHS/TSB partnership off the ground.
Superintendent Race thanked high school business teacher Trish Carpenter and JCHS Principal Fred Deinhardt for taking the lead in the start-up of this new program. Trustee Rocky Martinez shared his appreciation to Jim Savage, TSB JC and Endwell office manager, and Kim Weeks, TSB Supervisor for their partnership and support in providing our students with the experience to prepare for post-graduation.
We look forward to our high school's TSB branch grand opening on Feb. 11!
