Sarah Atwood from Cornell Cooperative Extension-Broome County's Ag in the Classroom program is visiting the 1st-grade classes this week to teach students about arctic animals. The students learned about polar bears, seals, reindeer, and more and had the fun opportunity to touch a faux fur arctic fox pelt. To top off the lesson, the students put together a mix of raisins, birdseed, and oatmeal to take home to feed to our local wild critters!
