On March 7-9, The Johnson City Music Department performed the musical "Mamma Mia!," a story that takes place on a mythical Greek island in the present day and centers around a young girl named Sophie. With music by ABBA, the musical explored themes of love, family, and self-discovery and featured many well-known hits, including "Dancing Queen," "Super Trouper," "Take a Chance on Me," and "The Winner Takes It All." As always, everyone went above and beyond, from the on-stage performers, pit orchestra members, set designers and builders and painters, to the lighting designer, choreographer, sound designer, backstage crew, director, producer, parent and community volunteers, and sponsors.
