Firefighter Perez and Lieutenant Toro from the Johnson City Fire Department visited the 3rd-grade classes today to discuss fire safety. They spoke about the importance of school fire drills and encouraged students to practice fire drills at home. They also shared the proper steps to take when smelling smoke in the home.
To cap off the lesson, 3rd-grade teacher Mrs. Perez had the opportunity to find out how quickly she could put on a firefighter's gear. Nice job!
